2005 Reunion - Alumni Weekend
On October 20 to 23, 2005 Stanford Law School hosted its annual Alumni Weekend celebration. The weekend featured a series of enriching panels and festive events, providing alumni, faculty and friends with numerous opportunities to gather and reconnect.

Panels
- "Controlling the Bench: The Impeachment of Justice Samuel Chase Revisited," an abbreviated reenactment of the trial with appellate arguments presented by current law students, Mike Kass '06 and Lauren Kofke '06. Dean Larry Kramer joins Jack Rakove, Coe Professor of History and American Studies, Stanford University, Hon. Fern Smith '75 (BA '72), former judge, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, and Henry Weinstein, legal affairs writer, Los Angeles Times, in a discussion of the trial's contemporary relevance.
- "From Despair to Hope? The Reconstruction of New Orleans and Its Effect on U.S. Poverty," a panel discussion moderated by Hon. Richard L. Morningstar '70, adjunct lecturer in public policy, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, and former United States ambassador to the European Union and featuring panelists Josh B. Bolten '80, director, Office of Management and Budget, Executive Office of the President of the United States, Reuben Jeffery III, JD/MBA '80, chairman, Commodity Futures Trading Commission; and former special assistant to the president, and senior director for international economic affairs, U.S. Department of State, and Leon Panetta, director, The Leon & Sylvia Panetta Institute for Public Policy.
Alumni Weekend 2006
Mark your calendars for Alumni Weekend 2006, which will take place October 12 through 15, 2006. Special reunion dinners will be held for the classes of 1956, 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, and 2001.
