Over the past 6 years (2006-2011), Stanford has placed 59 of our JD graduates in entry-level, tenure-track positions at American law schools. This number represents 69.4 percent of the total number of Stanford JDs (85) who sought such positions during that period-- an impressive placement record by any measure. Roughly 10 to 15 percent of each entering class plans to pursue an academic career and has chosen Stanford as the place to do it.
