Authorizing Faculty/Staff SUNet ID Accounts for Drupal

SLS faculty and staff may sign up for Drupal accounts here. The info from these forms is sent to webteam@law.stanford.edu.

This tutorial will tell you how to give Drupal access to someone's SUNet ID. Here's a brief description of the types of roles a SUNet ID account can have:

  • Content Manager: This role enables a person to maintain their webpage(s) on the SLS website. Their SUNet ID (it'll be their Drupal account username) must be the author of a page in order to edit it.
  • Event Manager: This role enables a person to post events to the SLS Event Calendar System.

Once you receive the form, follow these steps to activate their account:

  1. Send the person this email via webteam@law.stanford.edu:

    EMAIL SUBJECT:
Re: Stanford Law School Website: Drupal Account Request

    BODY OF EMAIL:
Thanks for your recent Drupal account request. There's just a few more steps you need to follow before we give you access.

    1. Click on http://www.law.stanford.edu/user and login with your SUNet ID so that our website can capture your SUNet ID.
    2. Once you've clicked that link, email webteam@law.stanford.edu and let us know. We will then grant your SUNet ID the access you requested. We will email you when your account has been activated.
