Hot Rods, Hot Air?: California's Attempt to Regulate Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Cars

Ken Alex, a supervising deputy attorney general in the environment section of the California Attorney General's Office, will speak about the ongoing issues surrounding California's attempt to get a Clean Air Act waiver from the U.S. EPA to allow the state to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from cars and light trucks. He will also touch on his work on California's public nuisance actions against large emitters of greenhouse gases, and will answer students' questions about careers in environmental law/California state government.
