Mr. Hunt is an African American man from Winston-Salem, North Carolina who was wrongly imprisoned for 18 years after being convicted of raping and killing a white woman. Since being exonerated by DNA evidence, Mr. Hunt has committed his life to criminal justice reform through his foundation, the Darryl Hunt Project. Mr. Hunt's story has also been recounted in the award-winning documentary, The Trials of Darryl Hunt.
