Career Services for Alumni
Stanford's greatest career resources are its alumni. Students are eager to learn more about particular practice areas and markets and what better way to gather this information than from those who are actually practicing? We've listed below just a few of the ways in which you can get involved.
Join the Alumni Network
To be a part of the network, simply click here to sign up (unless you already have an account created). If you sign up online, we ask that you also complete as much of the business information in your profile as possible (including practice areas), because it is through this information that students ans alumni will find you.
Hire a Stanford Student
If you have a legal position, whether for summer, school-term or post-graduate, attend our on-campus recruiting programs or post the position in Symplicity (our online jobs board) to our students and alumni.
Volunteer to Conduct Mock Interviews
Each December, alumni from around the Bay Area return to Stanford for one afternoon to give first-year students feedback on their resumes and interview skills. If you're interested in participating in our mock interview program, please contact our office at 650 723.3924.
Participate on Career Panels
Throughout the year, OCS schedules panels and presentations on a variety of practice areas and career-related issues and we're always looking for alumni to share their expertise and unique perspectives. The panels vary from year to year, but if you have particular areas of focus and would be willing to speak, please contact Laura Laurion, Associate Director for Private Sector Programs, at email@example.com or 650 725.3116.
Connect with Student Organizations
Many of our student organizations have extremely active calendars, whether it's organizing speaker series, a 3-day conference, or community events. They are always eager to have alumni participate or even just be available to give advice. For a list of our student organizatons, please click here.
