Health Law & Policy: Assuring Quality

This course is the first part of an introductory survey of the American health care system and its legal and policy problems. The class will focus on the health care financing system, health care system reform, and quality assurance, including medical malpractice. It will also deal generally with understanding how the present system works, diagnosing were it does not work, and exploring how it might be improved.

The class is open to all law or medical students. Graduate students may be admitted from other parts of the university by consent of the instructor.
