Mr. Moretti has served as Alexza Pharmaceuticals' Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since February 2005 and as Secretary since December 2005. Before joining Alexza, Mr. Moretti served as Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel at Alavita, Inc. (formerly known as SurroMed, Inc.), a biotechnology company. From 1982-2000, he was an associate, and the partner, at Heller Ehrman LLP. Mr. Moretti received a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in economics from Princeton University.
