Dr. Alejandro Toledo, former President of Peru (2001-2006) will draw upon his considerable expertise and discuss democracy, economic, development, and the rule of law. Before becoming President, Dr. Toledo worked for the World Bank, the Interamerican Development Bank in Washington, and the United Nations in New York. President Toledo is currently the Payne Distinguished Visiting Lecturer at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies (FSI) and a Distinguished Fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences, Stanford University.
