Every year Stanford Law School hosts a Swearing-In Ceremony for alumni that have passed the July California State Bar Exam.

The Honorable Robert Vanderet, JD '73 of the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, and the Honorable Kim Mueller JD ’95 of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California will preside at the ceremony and offer personal reflections on their own legal careers and the profession in general.

Please note that in order to be sworn in, you must bring the packet that you received from the State Bar (State Bar policy is absolutely rigid about this). This ceremony will admit you into both the California State Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. We encourage you to arrive fifteen minutes early to complete the required paperwork in advance.
