    The evening’s performance will include Night Creature, the definitive Ailey homage to the exuberance of Duke Ellington’s jazz and one of Ailey’s most classically choreographed ballets; In/Side, the vivid emotions of Nina Simone singing play out in Robert Battle’s gripping solo; Mary Lou’s Mass, not performed in its entirety in over 35 years, showcases the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater dancers in a compelling story about the trials and joys experienced by people everywhere, and Suite Otis, Otis Redding’s sassy, sizzling music sets the stage for George Faison’s playful battle of the sexes.
