Mobile Development Meets Design Thinking
With mobile phones now globally ubiquitous (more than 5 billion subscriptions worldwide), ideas are multiplying rapidly about uses of mobile phones to address issues of health, literacy, banking, and economic development in low-income countries. Ideas about "mdevelopment" are multiplying much faster than the good ideas. Can design thinking—human-centered design—help to separate the wheat from the chaff, the merely cool from the genuinely effective uses of mobile technology to improve human well-being?
