Join SLS professor Barbara Babcock and alumni, Samantha Buckingham JD '03 and Carlton F. Gunn JD '82 for a panel presentation, which will explore Clara Foltz' vision of the public defender, the evolution of the office, and its role today. Clara Foltz was the first woman admitted to the California Bar and the first to propose the creation of a public defender.
