Room Offsite
CORA is the only agency in San Mateo County with the sole purpose of serving victims/survivors of domestic abuse. WSL, with your help, will sponsor one CORA family this holiday season. This family is currently living either in an emergency shelter for survivors of domestic abuse, or in transitional housing as they pursue safe, independent, and permanent housing options. HOW CAN YOU HELP? Our family has filled out a Gift Request form listing specific items on their holiday wish list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvwIXnDtmpyXdFpKSHZaRmc2Z2N.... WSL is asking you to help make these dreams come true by either purchasing and donating one of these items or more simply, by donating to the cause. If you choose to buy one of the items please sign your name and contact information in the googledoc spreadsheet by the item to assist us in tracking the progress of the drive. There is no set amount on what you should spend, however most of the gifts range in value from approximately $15 to $100. No more than $100 should be spent on any one gift. Collaborative efforts are encouraged. Monetary donations can be made online TODAY-DECEMBER 10th at http://wslcora.bbnow.org/. Gifts and monetary donations may also be dropped off with Laura Mathe or Lauren Navarro in the Crocker Garden from 1:00-2:00 this week (and after Thanksgiving break). In addition, checks may be given to or placed in the box of Laura Mathe or Lauren Navarro (2Ls). Checks should be addressed to Women of Stanford Law. There will also be a table set up outside of the library later this week, with a hard copy of the gift request list that you are able to reference, and boxes on the side that will serve as additional gift drop-offs. Moreover, there will be select WSL members walking around, asking for cash donations. HOUSEKEEPING ITEMS -All gifts should be new and UNWRAPPED. -Try to include a gift receipt if possible (particularly for clothing items). -Please include a notation with each gift indicating the planned recipient. -We are also collecting as much new wrapping paper and ribbon as possible (full rolls only please). -If you have purchased a gift card please be sure to indicate the amount.
