About this event:
Please join us for the screening of HBO’s documentary on Gloria Steinem, followed by refreshments and light appetizers during a guided discussion on the Women’s Movement: Looking Forward, Looking Back. Gloria: In Her Own Words chronicles Steinem's life and her emergence as a driving force in the modern women's movement.

Produced and directed by Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker Peter Kunhardt, this documentary blends interviews of Steinem with archival footage, and clips from other prominent women's movement figures like National Organization for Women (NOW) co-founder Betty Friedan, Congresswoman Bella Abzug and civil rights advocate Flo Kennedy. This event, sponsored by the Center on the Legal Profession and the Clayman Institute for Gender Research, is part of the series of satellite events organized as part of Ms. @ 40 and the Future of Feminism.
