About this event: Please join us for the screening of HBO’s documentary on Gloria Steinem, followed by refreshments and light appetizers during a guided discussion on the Women’s Movement: Looking Forward, Looking Back. Gloria: In Her Own Words chronicles Steinem's life and her emergence as a driving force in the modern women's movement.

Produced and directed by Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker Peter Kunhardt, this documentary blends interviews of Steinem with archival footage, and clips from other prominent women's movement figures like National Organization for Women (NOW) co-founder Betty Friedan, Congresswoman Bella Abzug and civil rights advocate Flo Kennedy.
