Room 285
Stanford's Med. Students for Choice and Law Students for Reproductive Justice invite a panel of speakers to discuss the growth of Crisis Pregnancy Centers and comments about how they can or might be regulated. Practitioners in the areas of medicine and law, and reproductive health more generally, from around northern California will educate and engage with students about the issues and related challenges. While we would like our speakers' expertise to drive the event, we can see the discussion addressing issues like:
* The regulation proposed in San Francisco and the surrounding controversy
* Strategies taken by other states to regulate CPCs
* Limits on regulation due to constitutional law concerns (either State or Federal)
* What does current or proposed law mean in medical practice?
* How mandatory ultrasound and script reading laws affect the medical practice?
