March 8, 2012 12:00pm - 1:30pm

Room Offsite

SLS alumni are invited to join GSB alumni and friends of Stanford for a luncheon with Maria Pope, MBA '92, of Portland General Electric, who will discuss how Oregon's largest electric utility is addressing its major challenges. PGE is going through a period of rapid change, including responding to rising costs, higher customer expectations, changing regulations and the integration of new technologies. The talk will focus on how this 120-year-old company has built innovation into its product offerings and operational changes.

The cost is $15 and includes lunch. Advanced registration is requested by March 5.

Maria Pope is senior vice president and chief financial officer for PGE. She is a board member at Oregon Health & Science University, Premera BlueCross and TimberWest Forest Corp. She received her MBA from Stanford and her BA from Georgetown University. She lives in Portland with her three children and husband, Peter, a physician.

Cancellations must be received by March 5 to ensure a full refund. Send cancellation of registration to Sue Kellam via email at or phone at 650.725.3254. Refunds will be processed after the event.
