Steyer Taylor Center Executive Director Dan Reicher advised Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) undergrads participating in a series of two overnight hackathons comprised of members of the Hackers At Berkeley and Stanford Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) student hacker clubs. The hackathons were focused on a unique theme - the intersection of Energy Technology and Information Technology (“ET Meets IT”), and students were challenged to build web and mobile products using energy consumption data and APIs sponsored by companies in the energy efficiency space seeking disruptive innovation.
