Chicago: An Evening with Jim Messina

SLS, GSB, and other Stanford alumni are invited to a special event featuring Jim Messina, a veteran of American politics who currently serves as Campaign Manager for President Obama’s Re-election Campaign, with an introduction by Penny Pritzker, JD/MBA’84. Note that this is not an Obama for America campaign event.
Light appetizers and cocktails will be served. There is a $10.00 registration fee. Kindly RSVP by Friday, July 27. Space is limited, and registration will close once the event has reached capacity. This event is co-sponsored by the SLS Chicago Chapter, the GSB Chicago Chapter, and the Chicago Stanford Association.
Jim Messina, Obama for America Campaign Manager
Jim Messina currently serves as the Campaign Manager of Obama for America. Most recently, Jim Messina served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to President Barack H. Obama. He previously served as Director of Personnel for the Obama-Biden Presidential Transition and as national chief of staff for Obama for America.
Messina joined the Obama campaign from the office of U.S. Senator Max Baucus (D-MT), where he was chief of staff. He previously held the same position for U.S. Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND) and U.S. Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY).
He has overseen and consulted on political campaigns across the country, from Alaska to New York. He is a graduate of the University of Montana and attended high school in Boise, Idaho.
