For the second time in Brazil, the Stanford Rock Center for Corporate Governance, a joint initiative of Stanford Law School and the Graduate School of Business at Stanford, will be co-hosting a Directors' College program in Sao Paulo with the Brazilian Institute for Corporate Governance (IBGC).
Directors' College Brazil will bring together leading Stanford Faculty, CEOs, board members, jurists, scholars, and regulators, for a rigorous and balanced examination of corporate governance, strategy and compliance. The program will be an intensive one-day program for directors and senior executives of Brazilian public and private firms. The curriculum will address a broad range of problems that confront modern boards in Brazil including controlling shareholders, related party transactions, outside director liability; the financial crisis and corporate governance; institutional shareholders and corporate governance; and compensation issues for financial institutions.
The program is designed to generate practical "takeaway" pointers that can be responsibly applied to a broad range of boardroom concerns.
Featured Stanford Faculty:
Michael Klausner, Nancy and Charles Munger Professor of Business and Law, Stanford Law School
Francisco Perez-Gonzalez, Assistant Professor of Finance; Faculty Research Fellow, NBR; Graduate School of Business, Stanford University
F. Daniel Siciliano, Professor of Law, Associate Dean for Executive Education
