Judge Halpern will be having a casual roundtable discussion with current Stanford Law students interested in tax law. Judge Halpern was appointed to the U.S. Tax Court in 1990. Prior to that he was a partner at Baker and Hostetler and served as Principal Technical Advisor, Assistant Commissioner (Technical) and Associate Chief Counsel (Technical) at the Internal Revenue Service. He is a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve (retired) and has taught at GW since 1984.
