Sports, Head Trauma, and Neuroscience
November 29, 2012 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Brain injuries caused by sports -- especially football -- are big news, with more than 2,400 former NFL players suing the league for failing to protect them from concussions. On November 29, the Stanford Center for Law and the Biosciences and the Stanford Interdisciplinary Group for Neuroscience and the Law (SIGNAL) will host an afternoon talk about emerging evidence on sports-related head injuries. The event will feature CLB director Hank Greely and Gary Steinberg, Chairman of Stanford Medical School's Department of Neurosurgery and former neurosurgeon for the San Francisco 49ers.
This event is open to the public. Admission is free, but please register using the link below.
