BLSA Conference Panel: Interracial Marriage & Family

Miscegenation has been a constant source of controversy in our nation’s history. This panel will discuss various perspectives concerning interracial marriage and family in our supposed post-racial America. Panelist include Rose Villazor (Professor of Law at the University of California-Davis School of Law and author of The Other Loving: Uncovering the Federal Regulation of Interracial Marriages), Angela Onwuachi-Willig (Professor of Law at the University of Iowa College of Law and author of the upcoming book According to Our Hearts: Rhinelander v. Rhinelander and the Law of the Multiracial Family), and Kevin Maillard (Professor of Law at Syracuse University and co-author of Loving v. Virginia in a Post-Racial World), with SLS Professor Ralph Richard Banks moderating.
