Assisted Reproduction and Gay Rights
March 6, 2013 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Stanford Law Students for Reproductive Justice and Outlaw will screen the film Paternal Instinct. Following the film, we'll discuss hot topics in assisted reproduction, with particular emphasis on issues facing LGBT families. SLS grad and film subject Erik Kulleseid will be Skyped in for a Q&A.
The following description of the film comes from the film's website: "Paternal Instinct is an award-winning documentary charting the true story of one gay couple’s journey to parenthood with the help of a surrogate mother. Spanning more than three years, their dramatic quest – through surrogacy negotiations, insemination attempts, fertility challenges, and other upheavals...delivers an inspiring portrait of a New American family."
