New legal services business models and web platforms are gaining momentum, and here is your chance to meet two new disruptive legal start-ups: LegalForce, a bricks-and-mortar legal retail business with a walk-in store on University Avenue and an online legal services platform; and Wevorce, a new online divorce resolution service.

Raj Abhyanker, Chief Executive Officer, LegalForce, Inc.
Raj Abhyanker is the Chief Executive Officer of LegalForce, Inc., an attorney practice management company that utilizes the web to improve the quality of legal services through automation, globalization, and physical space. LegalForce is creating a network of attorneys sharing the LegalForce brand, and which provide online and offline access to law in retail settings. The first retail store opened on University Avenue in downtown Palo Alto in February 2013. The company originally started in 2009 with a website called Trademarkia, which is now one of the largest legal websites in the Internet, attracting over 2 million unique visitors per month. Raj’s law firm has grown from under 50 clients to over 24,000 clients in just 3 years, making his law firm the world’s largest trademark filing law firm.

Michelle Crosby, Founder + CEO, Wevorce
Michelle Crosby is an Harvard-trained mediator, attorney and co-founder of Wevorce, a high-tech/high-touch software platform for amicable divorce. After years practicing business, securities and family law, Michelle jumped off the partner track at a large law firm to pursue her dream of changing divorce for good.

Jeff Reynolds, Founder, Wevorce
Jeff Reynolds is co-founder of Wevorce. He started first company, a weekly advertiser, in 1994 with a Macintosh Performa and a $250 loan. Since, he has pursued positions in syndicated television, high-tech marketing and started or co-owned six companies, including Rizen Creative, a creative studio serving underdog brands.
