Energy Efficiency and Smart Energy
The Energy & Environment Affiliates Program semi-annual conferences provide comprehensive and timely coverage of opportunities, innovations, and research in important areas in energy, environment, materials, chemistry, and sustainability. This conference is on energy efficiency and smart energy. Speakers from Stanford and industry will address all aspects of modern and intelligent energy usage with application to specific industries such as electric utilities, oil and gas, IT and data centers, buildings, and military. There will also be student poster presentations and opportunities for networking.
Steyer-Taylor Center Scholar-in-Residence Jeffrey Ball will be moderating the Industry Panel Discussion: Hard Lines: The Power Industry's Global Transformation.
Steyer-Taylor Center Research Fellow Jonathan Koomey will give a talk on "Implications of Long-Term Trends in Efficiency of Computing and Communications: Why Ultra-Low-Power Systems will Change Everything"
