Building an Anti-War (On Drugs) Movement: A Multi-Pronged Approach Toward Achieving Sensible Drug Policies

Tamar Todd, Senior Staff Attorney at the Drug Policy Alliance, will join ACS for a discussion on drug policy reform, specifically marijuana reform. She will focus on the effectiveness of different tools used to bring about reform, specifically litigation, policy reform and education. Ms. Todd will also discuss the recent marijuana legalizations passed in Washington and Colorado, as well as discuss what's next for drug policy reform in 2014 and 2016.
Before her stint at the Drug Policy Alliance, Ms. Todd was a senior staff attorney at the Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta. Ms. Todd received her B.A. from the University of Vermont and her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she graduated magna cum laude and was executive editor on the Georgetown Law Journal.
