Career Services

Overview

The Office of Career Services (OCS) serves as a bridge between students, alumni and employers. OCS helps students and alumni shape and realize their career goals and works closely with legal employers to give them access to some of the best legal talent in the country. Whether looking to practice as an attorney at a firm, government entity, nonprofit, or in non-traditional legal careers, OCS provides many resources essential to the success of the job search, including:

  • A complete career library which includes information on all aspects of the job search.
  • Informational panels and programs that provide students with opportunities to learn about different law practices, trends in the legal employment market, and non-law alternatives.
  • On-Campus Interview Programs (OCI) that bring over 300 employers representing approximately 600 offices nationwide to interview Stanford Law School students.
  • A Judicial Clerkship Program, in which we assist students with the application process and provide detailed information on the opportunities available.
  • Online job postings from public and private sector employers nationwide who are looking for Stanford Law students and alumni.
  • An alumni career contact network designed to connect students eager to learn more about particular areas and markets of interest with alumni who are practicing in those fields.
