What is the life of a lawyer really like? This series, offered in the fall semester, aims to walk you through an attorney's day and give you the opportunity to, for instance, find out just how much of an entertainment lawyer's time is spent with celebrity clients, or how much of a civil rights attorney's time is spent on policymaking versus litigating. Each spotlight lunch highlights an attorney within a specialized practice area and is limited to 15 students.

We believe this intimate setting gives students the opportunity to truly connect with our alumni and allow for more in-depth discussions. Our goal is to encourage students to explore the myriad of career opportunities that are open to Stanford Law School graduates. Through the life stories of our most accomplished alumni, we hope to inspire and energize students to pursue alternative careers of their own.

(OCI) On-Campus Interviewing Program

Fall OCI

If you're interested in a firm job, our Fall On-Campus Interviewing Program (OCI) is a extraordinary opportunity for you. During our Fall OCI Program, which takes place between September and October each year, over 300 firms representing more than 600 offices visit the Stanford campus to recruit 2Ls and 3Ls. Interviews are assigned by lottery, so all students have equal opportunity to market themselves to employers. All interviews take place in the law school and surrounding buildings, both during the day and early evening.

Spring OCI

Our Spring On-Campus Interviewing Program is focused primarily on 1L recruiting and takes place in early February. While a much smaller program, it is also more likely to include government and public interest organizations, as spring recruiting is more synchronized with their hiring practices. All interviews take place in the law school and surrounding buildings during the afternoon and early evening.

Job Postings

All current listings for jobs, internships, and fellowships are maintained on our online database, Symplicity. You can enter the site using your 8-digit Stanford ID number as your username, and the unique random password that was e-mailed to you at the beginning of your 1L year.

Did Not Receive a Password

If you did not receive an e-mail with your password, it is because the e-mail address we have on file for you is no longer valid. In this case, please contact OCS and indicate that you wish to change your e-mail in the system and we will update it. We will reset your unique password and send it to your updated account.

Forgot Your Password

If you know that you have been assigned a password, yet have forgotten it, visit the job postings website, and click on the "Forgot my password" tab. Your password will be reset and e-mailed to you. We encourage you, once you've entered the system, to change your password to something more intuitive for future reference.

We maintain this job posting facility as a service to our students, alumni and employers. In providing this service, Stanford Law School makes no representations or endorsements concerning the opportunities posted or the organizations that post them. Prospective applicants are encouraged to independently research the employers and opportunities presented. We do not verify compliance with our non-discrimination policy.
