Building Community Day is an annual community service event organized by law students. Law students are joined by faculty and staff, as well as Stanford students from other schools, friends and family members, to spend a morning in the area working on a variety of projects. Past participants have helped clean up East Palo Alto schools, build a vegetable garden for a Redwood City Head Start program, and paint an East Menlo Park elementary school. Organizers solicit donations, identify projects, and coordinate volunteers.
