Critical Legal Studies Reading Group

Overview

The Critical Legal Studies Group is dedicated to providing a forum for students who to further their legal education by critically examining the law through alternative frameworks – such as critical legal or feminist studies.

We hope to examine how and why certain legal concepts, forms of reasoning, and values are privileged, while others are marginalized and devalued. The group will be inviting speakers and reading articles that cover critical approaches to the assertion of the law’s objectivity and rationality. Topics will include legal realism, legal education, critical legal studies, feminist legal theory, critical race theory, and others.
