SIPA's mission is to further enhance Stanford Law School’s reputation as the premier intellectual property university by improving awareness of intellectual property opportunities, promoting inventor advocacy, reaching out to other schools at Stanford and the broader inventor community regarding intellectual property issues, encouraging intellectual property research, and creating centers of excellence for patent litigation, patent prosecution, international patent law, trademarks, and copyrights.
