The San Francisco Chronicle describes the concerns of life with Alzheimer's disease. Professor Henry T. "Hank" Greely is quoted:
Hank Greely, a law professor at Stanford University who specializes in biomedical legal issues and moderated Saturday's meeting, congratulated patients for speaking up and volunteering to put forward a brighter, more hopeful face of Alzheimer's.
"The image of people with Alzheimer's is someone at the end of the line, but that's not what I'm seeing today," he said. "People can live with Alzheimer's, very happily. That vision doesn't really exist now, but you can change that."
