Professor Lawrence Lessig might run for Tom Lantos' seat, according to the Washington Internet Daily:

Lawrence Lessig, founder of Stanford Law School's Center for Internet and Society, is "considering" a run for the House seat vacated by the death of Rep. Tom Lantos (D- Calif.), he told us. Lessig is CEO of Creative Commons. The 12th Congressional District seat will go to the winner of an April 8 special election. Since "it's the first time I've thought about" running for office, "it is taking some time," Lessig said. Last week, a Lessig colleague created a "Draft Lessig" Facebook group (WID Feb 19 p4). Lessig also registered the domains change-congress.org and change- congress.com, though he told us the site is connected to his anti-corruption campaign targeting Congress (WID Feb 4 p4) and not necessarily to any potential congressional bid.
