Professor Lawrence Lessig is quoted in the National Journal about his quest to change Congress:
His message is that most members of Congress are "personally honest" but "institutionally corrupt." And he challenged the lawmakers and Washington's interest groups, especially those on the left, to join his Internet-based campaign to solve "the first problem of trust" in government: excessive "dependence on money," especially in Congress.
"The economy of influence affects results and respect for Congress." Together with Democratic campaign consultant Joe Trippi -- an expert on political use of the Internet -- Lessig announced his "Change Congress" effort to "leverage the reform movement."
