A story Friday about neurolaw issues contained a transcription error in Stanford Professor Hank Greely's comments. The region of the brain primarily devoted to speech is called Broca's region. Also, as a clarification, brain scans were included as evidence in amicus briefs filed for Roper vs. Simmons, not admitted into evidence in court proceedings.
