High Court May Consider States' IP Rights

Lecturer in Law Thomas Goldstein is quoted in The Recorder about a patent infringement case currently in front of the Supreme Court. The question is whether individuals' rights are equal to state universities' rights when it comes to patent infringement:

Tom Goldstein, who co-leads Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld's Supreme Court practice in Washington, D.C., said the fate of the case is in the hands of the government.

"It mostly depends on what the solicitor general says," Goldstein said.
