Center for Internet and Society Fellow Chris Ridder is quoted in the Palo Alto Daily News in an article about an electronic tracking device that raises questions about privacy:
Chris Ridder, from Stanford Law School's Center for Internet and Society, said there are already plenty of devices that can be used to track people. He said a computer chip in FasTrak transponders -- used to pay bridge tolls automatically -- can be tracked. And services such as Loopt and Latitude allow people using their cell phones to be located.
