Professor Mark Lemley is referenced in a Daily Journal article discussing the copyright implications of using a domain name that includes a part of a very recognizable other domain name, in this case "...Bay" as in eBay:
In a 2005 hearing on the proposed law, Stanford Law School Professor Mark Lemley showed lawmakers a list of 186 "generic plus bay" Web sites. Lemley, who has no commercial relationship to eBay, said that sites like OilBay, UmbrellaBay and blingBay hurt eBay's brand image in the mind of consumers who associate their (sometimes offensive) material with eBay.
