Professor Michael Wald is quoted in a San Jose Mercury News story on the same-sex marriage case in front of the California Supreme Court:

"It's the purest case in the country, totally different than anywhere else," said Michael Wald, a Stanford law professor emeritus who is among several family law professors opposing the ban.
