Internal Affairs: What Happened To Schwarzenegger's Layoffs, Anyway?
Professor Mariano Florentino-Cuellar is mentioned in the San Jose Mercury News in a story that lists Cuellars' wife Lucy Koh, currently a Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge, as a candidate for the federal bench:
National and Silicon Valley Asian bar groups are pushing Koh hard for the seat, eager to see the Bay Area federal bench get its first Asian-American judge. Koh, although relatively new to the state court bench, had a strong background in federal practice as a lawyer, working as a federal prosecutor in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., and as a partner in a major Palo Alto law firm. She also happens to be married to Mariano-Florentino Cuellar, a Stanford law professor and top adviser on immigration issues to President Barack Obama.
