BBC coverage of the settlement agreement between the Estate of James Joyce and Stanford University scholar Carol Shloss, who won the right to publish excerpts of letters between James Joyce and his daughter Lucia Joyce, quotes David Olson, a resident fellow of the Center for Internet and Society who was part of the legal team representing Shloss:

'Overly aggressive'

Her lawyer, David Olson, said: "I think we succeeded in showing the Joyce community and other scholars that they have rights and the opportunity to push back against overly aggressive copyright enforcement."
