Lecturer in Law Judge Jeremy Fogel and Professor Mariano-Florentino Cuellar are mentioned in an article that describes the possible changes of judicial appointments with the coming election:

Should Sen. Barack Obama be elected, San Jose-based Judge Jeremy Fogel would be a prime candidate to move up to a Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals slot, or to the Federal Circuit, observers say. Fogel said it would be inappropriate to discuss his prospects for elevation.

Other local state court judges who were federal prosecutors include Suzanne Bolanos, Marla Miller and Kathleen Kelly in San Francisco; C. Don Clay in Alameda County; and Lucy Koh in Santa Clara County. Koh was just appointed by Schwarzenegger, but her husband, Mariano-Florentino Cuellar, is a Stanford Law School professor and a top immigration adviser to the Obama campaign.
