RiP: A Remix Manifesto: A Mishmash Effort

Professor Lawrence Lessig is noted in The Toronto Star in an article about Brett Gaylor's documentary RiP: A Remix Manifesto using mashups and remixes:

His manifesto, borrowed from the essays, blogs and speeches of Creative Commons founder Lawrence Lessig and Canadian anti-copyright activist Cory Doctorow – then walks us through a breathtakingly brief and loopy, one-sided history of copyright in the 20th century.

By using images and songs for which he hasn't acquired permission in his film he clings to the "fair use" argument expounded by Lessig and grabs for himself a bit of Girl Talk's faux-bold outlaw glory, which will win hearts and minds among iPodsters.
