Professor Allen Weiner comments on KPIX TV Channel 5 in a news segment about protesters scaling the Chinese embassy walls, with one of them getting hurt in the process. Professor Weiner said:

"If somebody was scaling the wall of the U. S. embassy, I would expect the marine guards to open fire on them - right - because we would want to avoid any kind of hostage situation or takeover."
