The Chronicle Journal compares the U.S. detention system devised for terrorist suspects to the internment system of Japanese Americans during World War II. Professor Mariano-Florentino Cuellar is quoted:

"Stanford Law associate professor Mariano-Florentino Cuellar agreed the Military Commissions Act could permit 'a massive unaccountable detention system' ensaring [sic] legal permanent residents."
