Visitors and Conferences

Each year Stanford hosts a wide array of prominent visitors and organizes academic conferences and other events focused on international law issues.  In recent years, Stanford students have the opportunity to hear from senior United States and foreign government officials, leaders of international organizations, human rights activists and representatives of transnational nongovernment organizations, practicing international lawyers, and judges of international courts.

Conferences have explored virtually all aspects of international and comparative law, from developments at the International Criminal Court to international trade; from the right to democracy in light of the Arab world to the global impact of the U.S. Constitution; and from international commercial arbitration to the rule of law in China.
