Stanford Law and Policy Society (SLAPS)
The Stanford Law and Policy Society (SLAPS) is a student-run organization at Stanford Law School intended to educate students about policy work, create a forum for networking, and provide support for action. SLAPS is strictly non-partisan and welcomes policy ideas from any part of the spectrum.
Each semester, SLAPS explores one policy-related topic in depth. The goal is to use a current policy topic as a model for policy advocacy and analysis and to spark interest in the topic under examination. In addition, students may attend events organized by SLAPS, ranging from career panels to advocacy workshops to colloquia.
