Stanford Law School Energy Club
The urgency of addressing energy challenges—which implicate such diverse objectives as environmental protection, economic vitality, and national security—is both a driver of potential conflict and an impetus for innovation. Against this backdrop, the mission of the SLS Energy Club is to allow students to explore the diverse opportunities to apply legal thinking to the energy field, ranging from the practice of intellectual property law or project finance in the private sector, to policymaking and regulation in the public sphere. In addition, the Energy Club seeks to increase awareness within Stanford Law School of the cross-cutting nature of energy issues, and to integrate dialogue on energy at SLS with that of the surrounding University and region.
