Adding New People to the Drupal Site

How to remove a profile:

  1. Login to your dashboard
  2. Go to the SLS Directory and click on the profile of the faculty/staff member to be removed
  3. Click the “Edit” tab
  4. On the left side of the page, click the tab labeled “Page Visibility Options”
  5. Uncheck the box next to the word “Published”
  6. Click the green “Save” button on the right side of the page

How to add a new profile:

  1. Login to your dashboard
  2. From the top, black menu, go to: Content manager à Create Content à Person
  3. Enter the new person’s full name, first name, and last name in the correct fields
  4. If you have received permission to display their email address and phone number, enter this information in the correct fields
  5. If new person should be displayed in the kiosk:
    1. Select a “Building” from the drop-down menu
    2. Enter their office “Room Number”
  6. On the right side of the page, in the box labeled “Display this person on the main directory?”
    1. Click “Yes” if the person is SLS staff or faculty
    2. Click “No” if the person is Visiting or Affiliated faculty
  7. Click the green Save button on the right side of the page
  8. When these steps are complete, please email the SLS Webteam (webteam@law.stanford.edu). We will add their title and assign the new profile to the correct content manager.

How to add a master role:
The “master role” is the title that will appear under a person’s name on their bio page.

  1. Login to your dashboard
  2. Go to the SLS Directory and click on the profile of the faculty/staff member to be removed
  3. Click the Children tab
  4. Under the green button, click the “Create new child Person Role” link
  5. Enter the “Role Title” as it should appear under their name on their bio page
  6. On the right side, use the “Role Type” drop-down menu to select a role type
  7. Make sure the “Is Master Role?” section is marked “Yes”
  8. Click the green save button
